Legal status
Lilavena is a philanthropic initiative in development, working toward an appropriate nonprofit structure.
Lilavena has not yet received recognition of tax-exempt status. Contributions are not currently tax-deductible. We will update this statement as soon as our status is confirmed.
Lilavena is currently led by its founder. We will publish the names of our board and officers here once a governing board is formed.
Fundraising
The First Site
To secure and prepare Lilavena’s first site in Central Florida: land due diligence and access, soil and water testing, site preparation, first plantings, essential infrastructure, and the costs of establishing the organization that will steward it.
We will publish the amount raised here once contributions have been received and verified against our payment records. The campaign goal will be published at the same time.
How we count
Online gifts are counted only after our payment processor confirms them through a signed notification. Failed, pending and abandoned payments are never counted. Refunds are subtracted when they occur.
Gifts received by check or bank transfer are entered by an administrator with a unique reference, so the same gift cannot be recorded twice, and are reconciled against bank statements.
We never publish donors’ names or individual amounts without their permission.

Our reporting commitments
- Keep the fundraising figures above current, with the date they were last updated.
- Publish a summary of money received and spent for each reporting period.
- Record each land and site milestone when it happens, not before.
- Report food distributed, paid work created and partnerships formed once sites are operating.
- Correct any figure we get wrong, and say so.
