About Lilavena

An institution meant to be built slowly, and to last.

The founding intention

Lilavena began with a simple conviction: that land, cared for well, can make life more abundant for the women who work it and the communities around it, and that this can be done in a way that is practical, paid and repeatable.

The name is meant to sound like a place. We hope that, over time, it will name many of them.

Photograph to come. We will only show images of Lilavena’s land and people once they exist.

Our founder, Jessica Lilavena

Jessica Lilavena is the founder of Lilavena, a women-centered ecological sanctuary and philanthropic initiative taking shape in Central Florida. It is built on a simple conviction: a more abundant world is possible when we organize our resources around life itself.

A mother of three daughters, Jessica knows resilience from lived experience. She has spent years balancing motherhood, professional ambition and the work of building a more secure future for her family. Those years shaped her belief that women deserve more than the expectation to endure. They deserve access to land, meaningful work and material resources, and the freedom to build something that sustains them and their children.

Through Lilavena, Jessica is working toward a model of community rooted in ecological stewardship, food security and economic opportunity for women. Her vision brings together regenerative agriculture, food-producing gardens, flowers, honey and paid work supported by philanthropy, so that the same land nourishes both people and the earth. She sees agriculture as more than production: it is a way to restore the relationships between communities, natural resources and the people whose labor sustains them.

She is guided by a belief in abundance over extraction, stewardship over exploitation, and the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next. She is especially interested in creating places where women can contribute their skills, build independence and help shape a more resilient local economy.

Lilavena is the beginning of that work: a living sanctuary where ecological restoration and human flourishing belong to the same mission, and where women can grow what their communities need, earn a living from the land, and leave something living for the generations to come.

What we hold to

Honesty before polish
We say what is done and what is only planned, and we publish our numbers.
Paid work
Those who make the land productive should earn a living from it.
Regeneration
Every site should leave its soil, water and habitat better than it found them.
Local roots
Each site answers to the families, schools and partners nearby.
Patience
Things that grow slowly tend to endure. We would rather build one good site than announce ten.

Status and governance

Lilavena is a philanthropic initiative in development, working toward an appropriate nonprofit structure.

Lilavena is currently led by its founder. We will publish the names of our board and officers here once a governing board is formed.
